# Heptagon

Introduction of heptagon:

In geometry, a heptagon (or septagon)is a polygon with seven sides and seven angles. In a regular heptagon, in which all sides and all angles are equal, the sides meet at an angle of 5π/7 radians, 128.5714286 degrees. Its Schläfli symbol is {7}. The area (A) of a regular heptagon of side length a is given by

## In step to draw a heptagon:

Inscribe a regular heptagon in a circle having diameter.

1. Draw a circle diameter centered at 0.

2. Draw OX as the radius of the circle.

3. Draw as arc with X as the centre and radius of length XO to intersect the circle at points Y and Z.

4. Drawa line through YZ. Let lines OX and YZ intersect at point W. YW is the side of the side of the regular heptagon to inscribe in the circle.

5. Step off the distance YZ on the circle and obtain points 1,2,3,4,5 and 6.

6. Join Y123456 obtain the required heptagon.
